Complete beta release for personal use

AldoApps permits you to download, install and use this complete beta application bundle for personal flight-simulation entertainment and testing. “Beta” identifies the managed release and feedback stage; it does not mean the Companion or Quest app is a partial preview. This is limited permission to use the apps, not an open-source licence or transfer of ownership. Separately licensed components retain their own permissions; nothing here restricts rights granted by their licences or mandatory consumer law.

The complete beta packages are provided as-is. They are entertainment software rather than an approved training device, flight-planning tool or real-aviation system. Final commercial distribution and third-party permissions require review before sale. You need your own simulator, aircraft and headset licences.

X-Plane, ToLiss, Meta and Airbus are separate products and brands. Compatibility does not imply affiliation or endorsement. No aircraft, paid simulator assets, simulator licence, signing private key or simulator SDK is supplied in these downloads.

Signing and release status

The complete Windows installer, uninstaller, two project-owned native executables and bundled command plugin use the same AldoApps self-signed beta certificate. This provides a consistent signing identity that can be compared with the published certificate and file hashes. Windows does not automatically trust independently self-signed publishers, so it may display an unknown-publisher or untrusted-root message. That describes certificate-authority trust; it does not indicate that the application is a preview or incomplete. No trust-store import or operating-system security change is required by these instructions.

The complete Mac application, nested tools and installer use Apple Developer ID distribution identities, hardened runtime and trusted timestamps. Apple accepted this exact published package for notarization and its ticket is stapled, allowing normal Gatekeeper verification. The sister XPPanelsVR application for Apple Vision Pro has also been accepted by Apple. Notarization and sister-app acceptance do not imply endorsement of the separate Quest edition.

The primary Quest app is the production-signed, non-debuggable ARM64 build 0.2.0-beta.1, distributed through an age-restricted private Meta release channel for Quest 3/3S. Meta installs and updates the release for approved testers. Channel membership shares the tester’s Meta email address and alias with AldoApps and permits release-channel email. The GitHub release retains a differently development-signed, debuggable direct APK only as a technical fallback; Android cannot update between the two signing identities without an intentional uninstall that can erase app-local settings.

Local app processing and network boundary

The Mac and Windows Companions capture selected simulator instrument windows. Outside view, X-Plane process audio and ISCS sharing are separate controls. Audio does not capture the microphone or the general desktop mix. ISCS touches use the explicitly selected, foreground, uncovered simulator window. Local control requests are bounded and require a fresh armed session.

The normal connection uses USB forwarding to services on the computer’s local loopback interface. The optional Wi-Fi fallback is designed only for a trusted private LAN approved by the user. Simulator UDP and local HTTP intentionally use this local trust boundary instead of an internet-facing encrypted pairing service; no port forwarding, public address or cloud relay is needed. Keep the services on USB or your trusted private network and never expose their ports to the internet. XPPanelsVR adds no analytics, advertising, automatic diagnostic uploader or account requirement. Local settings and logs remain on your computer; support sharing is your choice.

The Quest adaptation changes runtime materials, display cutouts/overlays, interaction volumes, animations and cockpit integration. Attribution does not imply the model author endorses XPPanelsVR.
