XPPanelsVR Safety & Compatibility

XPPanelsVR is for entertainment only. It is not certified aviation equipment, a qualified flight-training device, an aircraft manual or an operational checklist. Do not use it to operate real aircraft, make real navigation decisions or satisfy a training or currency requirement. Visual resemblance does not establish procedural accuracy.

Physical Safety

Use while seated with clear reach space. Virtual buttons and surfaces cannot support your weight. Do not lean on them. Passthrough openings are not safety boundaries and may be misaligned, obscured or delayed. Check the physical space directly before reaching toward hardware, taking off the headset when needed. Stop use if uncomfortable, dizzy or disoriented and follow the headset manufacturer's safety guidance.

Simulator State and Limitations

Network delays, dropped packets, stale values, missing mappings and aircraft updates can cause incorrect or unavailable indications and actions. Test controls with a parked, paused simulator and verify results in X-Plane. Keep the simulator's normal controls accessible. Closing or disconnecting this app does not automatically pause X-Plane or put its aircraft into a safe state.

Cockpit placement lock only prevents repositioning of the model. It does not disable commands, guard every critical control or lock physical hardware. Hiding a virtual hardware area disables that area's virtual input but does not configure or isolate physical controls. No particular frame rate, latency, real-world dimensional accuracy or compatibility with every simulator release is promised.

Separate Products and Licenses

X-Plane, aircraft add-ons and other third-party products require their own licenses. Using XPPanelsVR or a companion bridge does not expand those licenses or bypass activation, display-access or use restrictions. Permission for private desktop entertainment must not be assumed to cover commercial, training, public-display or home-cockpit use.

ToLiss publishes separate end-user terms and commercial/home-simulator licensing information. These distinguish types of use; they do not specifically establish that every XPPanelsVR setup is permitted. Check the terms applicable to your product and intended setup. An independent app disclaimer does not resolve those obligations.

Compatibility Scope

The current cockpit mappings and macOS popup-coordinate identification were developed against ToLiss A320 v1.2.1 and X-Plane 12.4.3. This is an implementation reference, not a guarantee that all functions are validated or that those versions are the latest. Some visible controls are decorative or unmapped. Other aircraft, X-Plane 11 and new aircraft versions need separate testing.

The companion Windows bridge has its own installation and source-assignment requirements. Pop-outs must remain available and rendering in the simulator; some aircraft/view combinations may stop updating them. Native immersive mode does not guarantee simultaneous visibility of another application's virtual display.

Product and aircraft names identify compatible or referenced products; their owners retain their rights. No third-party approval or certification is implied.
